Initial assessment can reveal a lot about a student's cognitive strengths and weaknesses. The initial appointment includes the Gibson Cognitive test and observations of brain balance skills. We provide a summary of results and a consultation of recommendations for what programs might best suit your student. Initial assessment is currently $150 and includes the consultation.
All of the educational intervention programs at Thrive work at the root of cognitive or academic problems and are designed to help strengthen weaknesses in the most effective and efficient ways.
Our programs include:
Cognitive Connections
Brain Integration Therapy
PACE
Processing and Cognitive Enhancement
NILD
National Institute of Learning Development
The Listening Program
Barton Reading and Spelling System
Content Intervention:
for students that need to catch up in an academic area that is not related to a underlying cognitive weakness.
Informal tests are given to measure progress and track cognitive and academic growth.
While no program can make guarantees, students who have participated in the programs mentioned above have all experienced great cognitive and academic growth. Working at the root of the problems truly has a profound effect on how well a student thrives in the classroom. We look forward to helping your child.
